Description: A community hog roast will cap off the Third Annual Poker Run Saturday evening, July 5, after participating bikers return from their ride, and organizers are hoping community members will show up in abundance for the event.

Everyone is invited to the hog roast which will be held in Town Park beginning at 4:30 p.m. and serving until 6:30 p.m. Tickets for dinner with all the fixin’s is $8 and kids age 6 and under eat for free.

Registration for the poker run is at 8:30 a.m. at Lava Mountain Lodge with an all you can eat breakfast buffet for $8 a plate starting at 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Riders will depart from Lava Mountain Lodge.

Activities for kids begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Town Park. Lunch for kids will be served at noon, with more activities scheduled from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Once all the hog roast food is gone, a raffle for a 2008 Harley-Davidson Sportser will take place at 8:00 p.m. at the VFW Post.

Proceeds from the poker run and hog roast will benefit TARGET (Taking A Radical Gospel Everywhere Today) Youth Ministries, Dubois Community Youth Programs and prize money for poker hands. Proceeds from the VFW Raffle will benefit the VFW Scholarship programs and the post general operations fund.

The event is sponsored by TARGET Youth Ministries, Dubois Assembly of God Youth Group and Ding’s Custom Cycles, VFW Post 10056, and merchants from throughout the community. For more information contact Ding’s Custom Cycle at 455-3547.
