Cheyenne's Nichols Returns To Olympics

The Associated Press reports...

Cheyenne native Jenny Nichols is back competing for a medal in the Olympics.

The 24-year-old Nichols is one of the leading archers in the United States.

She'll be competing in Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, starting Friday night Mountain Time (August 8th).

This is her second time competing in the Summer Olympics.

She did not medal in the Olympics at Athens.

Nichols says her disappointing performance in the first Olympics motivated her to work harder and she hopes to come away with a medal this time.

Last April she finished at the top of the recurve standings at the U.S. Olympic Archery team trials in California.
