St. Stephens High School has a new basketball coach.
Jeremy Francom comes to the Eagles from Laramie. Francom played college ball at Black Hills State and Eastern Wyoming College then graduated from UW in 2004.
He has coached baseball in the Laramie legion system for the past few years along with basketball summer camps.
Originally from Torrington, Francom was an all conference performer for the Blazers and was third in the state in 3 point percentage.
Francom takes over a program that saw their head coach leave during the middle of the season last year. Jaime Featherearing started the season but assistant coach Ricky Blackburn finished the year after his sudden departure in mid Feburary.
The Eagles just missed a trip to state last year after Tony Selph helped the private school near Riverton win three titles in four years. This past season, Selph took over the reigns in Lander and led the Tigers to the 3A title.
Francom is excited to take over and is a teacher at St. Stephens.
