Gas prices are holding steady across the state and the area while continuing to fall nationally. The average price across the US has fallen 40 cents a gallon in the past 38 days.

According to wyominggasprices.com, Riverton gas prices, as of this morning, range from 3.95 to 3.99 a gallon. Meanwhile, prices in Lander ranged from 3.97 to 3.99 a gallon.

Statewide, today’s average is 3.86 a gallon. Prices range from 3.57 in Gillette to 4.25 a gallon at a station in Buford. Nationally the average is 3.69. Diesel is averaging 4.35 a gallon in Wyoming.

The price of a barrel of oil closed yesterday at $111.62.
