The Wind River Casino's Main Entrance faces West.
(RIVERTON) – A Riverton woman hit a nearly $300,000 jackpot Wednesday for the second largest jackpot ever paid out at the Northern Arapaho Tribe’s Wind River Casino.
General Manager Jim Conrad said the $298,000 payout occurred just before 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon as the woman was playing a two dollar progressive slot game. Conrad said the woman exclaimed that the jackpot was “a life altering event.” Conrad said a Sweetwater County man hit the casino’s largest jackpot of $454,716 last November, also playing a progressive slot game. Wind River Casino policy withholds the identity of jackpot winners.
Conrad noted that a second progressive slot game at the casino with a potential jackpot of nearly $200,000 was seeing good action following the big jackpot.
The nearly $300,000 jackpot was the largest yet at the new location of Wind River Casino one mile south of Riverton.
